Gary wondered about the freaky Barbies in the cage (see previous post).
I saw them at this Festival. The video gives an idea what it's like. I go every year over the Australia Day weekend with friends and their little kids and we all LOVE it!
Can't wait for 2010! We bought our tickets in September.

Wow! Looks pretty intense, Julia.
I took a look at the website and it says the event is 5 days long. Do some people actually camp out there the whole time?
Man, looks like Woodstock on acid to the power of ten. Lots of aboriginal dancing at the beginning, didn't notice any aboriginal dancers though! Do you dress up too? Looks like good fun...
The dancers were Kooris . Aboriginals (I am not sure what you expected) and there is usually an Aboriginal elder to welcome us to country.I love that ceremony. The whole festival is very special.. We usually go for 3 or 4 days and camp. Some people stay longer. It is so.........tribal. Love it.
I don't dress up that much. Just enough colour to feel good. People come from all over the world for this. A bit like they do for Glastonbury I guess.
